Snowgoose

During the last couple of months I have been intrigued by a small promising development on Sunderland Street. With rumours of it becoming a new bar brought excitement and hope of somewhere in Macclesfield offering a fantastic design interior, a unique blend of music, quality drinks and with that a great crowd and atmosphere.

Last night the Snowgoose opened it's doors, met by the beautiful smell of wood burning in the stove and furnishing much of the interior I breathed an excited sigh of relief. The place albeit unfinished is looking awesome, downstairs there is a decent sized rustic wood bar with some great window seats opposite. The windows have been very tastily done as has the rest of the interior, the large wood burner makes a great centrepiece leading round to an outdoor beer garden and stairs to upstairs. Here is a large open plan room complete with second wood burner and piano that was just like being in an alpine bar. The substantial wood benches and tables are excellent features not to mention the antique skis and 'Snurfer' looking snowboard.

It will be interesting to see how the place evolves it certainly got my mind ticking over with possibilities, I'd be interested to know what's happening with the scrub of land next door as that could become an awesome garden area secluded and quite a haven if designed well.

Anyway well done and thanks to the Snowgoose
