Cunning as a Fox

A cunning fox has shot its would be killer in Belarus by pulling the trigger of the hunter's gun as the pair scuffled after the man tried to finish the animal off with the butt of his gun.

The hunter ended up in hospital with a leg wound while the fox made its escape.

The story reminds me of the fisherman who while reeling in a Marlin was speared in the chest as the fish leaped from the water onto his boat and then escaping back into the sea.

Calgary Teddy Toss 2010

The Calgary Hitman this year have again kept up with an annual tradition where the fans toss teddy bears onto the ice so that the players can then later deliver them to a selected charity.

This year the lucky recipient was Alberta's Children's hospital, with the players all visiting the hospital the day after the game to deliver the toys.

Fans bring the teddys to the game and as soon as the first goal is scored they launch them onto the ice.

Chilean Patagonia is under attack by an international energy company that plans to build five massive (unnecessary other than to make them money) hydroelectric dams on the Pasqua and Baker rivers.
The dams would down large swaths of wild land, industrialize a pastoral region with growing potential for eco-tourism and require the clear-cutting of native forest to accommodate 1,500 miles of transmission lines.

There's a whole lot more exploitation going on in Chile and it's land and people need a voice to raise awareness and help protect their country.

Those Were The Days

From the early days of home made catapults and jumps to Jackass 3D, this venture is a real treat. As ever some of the simplest stunts are the best but captured in slow motion, high definition and 3D really lets you revel in the moment.

The guys are obviously getting on compared to those early days and it was cool to see a memory packed montage to end the film. They've clearly had an epic journey,
