What won't be on the agenda at the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen
As the UN Climate Change Conference gets underway today in Copenhagen, Denmark,833 miles away in the Danish province of the Faroe Islands, which lie north of Scotland a tradition is taking place in which hundreds of whales and dolphins are herded into bays around the coast to be slaughtered.

The Cove
The Cove is a 2009 documentary film of the annual killing of about 2,300 dolphins in a National Park at Taiji, Wakayama in Japan. The migrating dolphins are herded into a hidden cove where they are netted and killed by spears and knives over the side of small fishing boats. The Cove tells the amazing story of how a elite team of activists, filmakers and freedivers embarked on a covert mission to penetrate this cove and shine a light on this deadly secret. This however was only the tip of the iceberg.
