The Cove

The Cove is a 2009 documentary film of the annual killing of about 2,300 dolphins in a National Park at Taiji, Wakayama in Japan. The migrating dolphins are herded into a hidden cove where they are netted and killed by spears and knives over the side of small fishing boats. The Cove tells the amazing story of how a elite team of activists, filmakers and freedivers embarked on a covert mission to penetrate this cove and shine a light on this deadly secret. This however was only the tip of the iceberg.
